New Kits & Kits & Suspicions....

Rockmelt was padding out of the nursery, urgently walking over to the medicine cat's den. Plumpaw, who was sitting with the other apprentices, stood up. "What's wrong?" he asked, walking over, Ivypaw and Willowpaw following him. "Starshine's kitting," the warrior said. "I need to get water." Plumpaw nodded. "I'll go with you," he said, walking away with the tom.

Onyxpaw straightened up, and next to him, Bluepaw's eyes sparkled. "New kits!" Just then, Plumpaw came padding back out. "Don't celebrate yet," he warned. "Kitting is dangerous sometimes, and we don't know what's going to happen yet. We're going to have to pray to StarClan with all our hearts and souls."

Those words made Ivypaw's head shot up. Starclan! she hissed in her brain. They didn't do anything! They can't do anything! They can't..... Ivypaw was about to stand up and head to the den, when Russetpaw stood up and stood in her way. "Why do you always to that?" the apprentice asked. "Whenever StarClan's mentioned, you put on that really angry face...."

Moonstar stood atop the Great Boulder, two kits cowering behind her, and Bluemoon standing behind them. "Cats of HawkClan!" she called, looking down at the clan. "I have an announcement to make. We have to kits joining us today." The leader indicated the kits, and Bluemoon guided them forward gently. "Please welcome Whitekit and Mistykit into our clan! I'm sure they will grow up to be fine warriors!"
"Whitekit! Mistykit! Whitekit! Mistykit!" the clan called, welcoming the two cats.
Mistykit stared at the cats, eyes round. "There's so many cats!" she said.
Whitekit nudged her. "Duh," he said. "It is a clan, after all."

Moonstar sighed, and stepped in front of the two new cats. "Please be on the look out for these kits' mother," she said. "Apparently, she is still wandering around in the forest, and though she abandoned them, she might want to see her kits once again. That is all."

With a flick of her tail, Moonstar padded back into her den, leaving the kits to explore the camp.

"Let's go!"
