Moonstar leaped onto the Great Boulder, her pelt matted with blood and scratches. "Cats of HawkClan!" she announced. "Today we have experienced a great tragedy. Our clan has fought, and if the terrible shaking of the earth had not occurred, we would have lost. Many lives have been lost, including those of:
Hollypaw
Sparrowpaw
Tigerwhisker
Waterstorm
Kestrelpaw
-and Silverpaw. We mourn their passings and hope that they have a good afterlife in DreamClan. But this battle has also brought us a sign. Something will happen that will shake this earth to its core. And we must be prepared.
"Aside from that, I have one more announcement. It is our duty as warriors to train warriors. And today I name three new apprentices. Plumkit, Wolfkit and Goldenkit, please step forward. This is a proud day for HawkClan, but also a sad day, but by naming apprentices we show that we will survive and remain strong. Plumkit, Wolfkit and Goldenkit, from now on until you receive your warrior name you will be known as Plumpaw, Wolfpaw and Goldenpaw.
Fernsplash, you are ready for an apprentice, you will be Wolfpaw's mentor. I know you will pass on your strength, wisdom and courage to Plumpaw, and teach him the skills that will make him a brave warrior of HawkClan."
Wolfpaw cheered as he rushed to the outside of the medicine cat's den to touch noses with his mentor, eyes sparkling like stars.
Moonstar continued. "I will mentor Goldenpaw myself, and I have a special announcement for Plumpaw. The cats of StarClan and DreamClan have wished it so, and Plumpaw will be Ripplestep's apprentice. Please pass onto Plumpaw your knowledge of herbs, and of our warrior ancestors."
Moonstar raised her voice. "That is all!" she yowled as the cats of the clan screeched, "Plumpaw! Wolfpaw! Goldenpaw!"

Starshine was still dazed but she cheerd with the rest of the clan.

ReplyDelete"Yes I think it was for the best it helps us to be ready for an attack". "And Starclan saved us with the ground sheaking"
ReplyDeleteRockmelt nodded slowly. "I'm grateful for that," he admitted. "But so many cats died......"

ReplyDeleteGoldenpaw was standing my Moonstar. "Hi, Goldenpaw!" Rockmelt called. "Let's go!" he then said, looking at Starshine.
ReplyDeletePlumpaw jumped up and down. "WEEEEE IM AN APPRENTIcE!" He ran towards the medicine cat and tumbled into Ripplestep, who purred in amusement.

"Hi Goldenpaw, how dose it fell to be an apprentice" Starshine gentle said.

ReplyDeleteFernsplash dipped her head warmly, but sadness and grief clung to her pelt at the thought if the dead HawkClan members. 'It should have been me...' She thought.
ReplyDeleteBlackash was padding by the medicine cat's den when he heard Fernsplash mumbling to herself. He quickly turned around. "Anyone could have died!" he protested. "The dead cats served the clan well! You don't have to feel guilty."
ReplyDeleteFernsplash felt angered suddenly. "Well, what use is a blind warrior! I couldn't even see what I was attacking!" she hissed.
ReplyDeleteBlackash sighed. "I can't change your mind," he said at last, "But please, don't feel guilty. The same thing could have happened to any of us."
ReplyDeleteFernsplash ducked her head. "Sorry, Blackash. I understand that, but.... life's just to hard for me to cope with sometimes...." she meowed.

"Plumpaw, can you get more cobwebs and marigold leaves from my den?" Ripplestep traced the outline of the marigold leaf on the dusty ground with her claw, "It is stacked at the back of the den. And the cobwebs are right next to them."

ReplyDeleteRipplestep barred Fernsplah's way with her tail. "You're not going anywhere. You have to rest."

"Uh... no, Wolfpaw, I don't want you to get in Ripplestep or Plumpaw's way." she meowed.
ReplyDeleteRipplestep padded out and sniffed Fersplash. "You'll be fine after a few more days of rest." Then with a bigger yowl., she shouted, "Anyone that is hurt, please come to the medicine cat den!" Then added softly, "Plumpaw, we shall start your training here."

ReplyDeletePlumpaw jumped up in excitement. "YAY~!!!!!!!" Rockmelt padded over to the medicine cat's den. "I have a few scratches," he explained. "That's all."
ReplyDeleteStarshine padded in. "Ripplestep can you please look at my leg I think there is more damage then last time."
ReplyDelete"Sure!" She sniffed Rockmelt all over. Then, she meowed, "Plumpaw, can you get some marigold leaves and cobwebs over here?" She then moved to Starshine. She examined the leg carefully. "The real damage is that you have torn a muscle. It will heal in a couple of days. Don't pout your weight on that leg or else its going to take a longer time to heal." She chewed up some marigold leaves and dripped the juices into the wound.

ReplyDelete"Ahh.. Thank you. Can you chew up some of the marigold leaves to make the polituce (idk how to spell it) and place it on top of the cobweb?" Ripplestep meowed.
ReplyDeletePlumpaw quickly chewed up the leaves, but looked at his mentor, confused. "Why on top?" he asked.
ReplyDelete"It would be easier for us to put the cobweb on and have the marigold juices trickling down at the same time than doing it 2 separate times." Ripplestep replied.

ReplyDeletePlumpaw jumped up and down. He looked around the den. The crevices were filled with herbs that he didn't recognize. He was eager to learn all of them.
