Four Apprentices and a Ceremony

Moonstar and Bluemoon padded into the camp, followed by four young cats. All of the warrior's heads shot up, looking at the new comers. "Don't mind them, you'll get used to this eventually," Moonstar was saying, and then leapt up onto the Great Boulder. "Cats of HawkClan!" she announced proudly. "It is my proud duty as a leader to name cats into our clan, and today we welcome four apprentices into our clan." The leader paused to mention the cats slightly with her tail. "But before we do that, I have two ceremonies to perform. Firpaw and Snowpaw, please step forward." When the two apprentices arrived, they looked up at Moonstar with sparkling eyes, sleek pelts shining in the bright sun. 


"I, Moonstar, leader of HawkClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their own turns. Firpaw and Snowpaw, do you two promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of  your lives?"

Firpaw and Snowpaw answered with clear gazes. "Yes."

"Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your warrior names, Firpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Firleaf. StarClan honors your courage and strength and we welcome you as a full warrior of HawkClan. Snowpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Snowheart, and StarClan honors  your agility and service to the clan."


The whole of the clan raised their voices. "Snowheart! Firleaf! Firleaf! Snowheart!"


Moonstar smiled as her clan cheered, then moved on. "And now, we welcome our apprentices. Ivy, Onyx, Blue and Russet and Willowkit, please step forward. Do you promise to devote yourselves to the clan and to StarClan, even at the cost of your lives?"


"Yes," the former rouges and the kit replied, eyes shining.


"Then I name you as apprentices. From this moment on you will be known as Ivypaw, Onyxpaw, Bluepaw, Russetpaw and Willowpaw. Ivypaw, you're mentor will be Firleaf, and Snowheart will mentor Onyxpaw.  Bluepaw will be mentored by Snowfeather, Russetpaw by Rainfall and Willowpaw by Aspentail. That is all!"

The new mentors and apprentices stepped forwards and touched noses with each other, as the clan yowled, "Ivypaw! Onyxpaw! Russetpaw! Bluepaw! Willowpaw!" over and over again.

A Change and a Brand New Day

Bluemoon looked around the camp from atop the Great Boulder. No one was up yet, because it was still pretty early in the morning, but he could hear some shuffling in the warrior's den, and assumed that his fellow clanmates had began to wake from their sleep. Moonstar came padding out of her den behind him.

"Good morning," the black and white leader greeted. "You're up here again."

It wasn't a question, but somehow it made the blue-gray tom feel uneasy. "You saw me up here before?" he questioned, looking his friend in the eye.

Moonstar chuckled. "No one can be up here without me knowing," she commented. "Speaking of you being up here, I've seen you standing here a lot. And some changes need to be made to HawkClan..."

Moonstar stood up straighter and padded to the tip of the boulder. "Cats of HawkClan!" she yowled, waking up all of the still sleeping cats. "An urgent change has come up. This is an important message, and I need all of you to hear this. I will be appointing a new deputy today. Darkflame is....ill. Our new deputy will be Bluemoon."

The leader could hear the small gasps of the clan members, but ignored them. "That is all," she said. "Please treat Bluemoon the way you would treat Darkflame. In the meantime, Darkflame will reside in the elder's den.

"We need to organize patrols. Bluemoon, will you organize one hunting patrol and one regular patrol? After patrolling we'll have a battle training session with all of the apprentices. Is that OK with all of you?" she asked the clan.

(RP from there! And I had to demote Darkflame, because stormy, is, well, inactive. Yeah.)

Two Warriors

(Time for a long and juicy post... :D)


Pearl woke up, the sun shining in her eyes. She blinked and yawned, then looked beside her. There lay her ornate china bowl with the usual cat food: tasteless, brown pellets. She was starting to get bored of it. She chewed on some and then drank from the bowl of milk beside the cat food. Then she bounded out of the house into the backyard.

The warm rays to sunlight felt good against her fur. She purred and lay down in the grass. The fresh smell of wild grass soothed her. She look beyond the fence, into the forest. She had never been there before. But she had an urge to go now. 

She looked back at her house. The quaint, small house had been her home since she was a kitten. Her owner adored her, and she wondered how she would cope without her favorite cat. Maybe she could go into the forest for a walk and come back for lunch, she thought. Yes, it was a great idea.

She bunched up her leg muscles and jumped, releasing all the energy. She landed squarely on the top of the fence. It felt good. She hopped off the fence into the forest. The soft earth felt good under her feet, and the breeze felt nice. She could hear warblers singing and nightingales floating through the trees. Then she got carried away.

She suddenly realized she was lost. Her heart sunk. Now what could she do? The sun was starting to set. Had she been walking for so long? She panicked.

"Ok. Pearl, THINK."

She concentrated on her situation. She was out in the forest, she had no idea where she was, the sun was starting to set, and her owner would be looking for her. She felt lost. NO ideas came up in her mind. She tried retracing her footsteps, but it proved unuseful.

It was nighttime. She was still lost. She lay down and sobbed.

"Grr........."

Pearl instantly jumped up. She looked around frantically.

"W-who's there?" Pearl shouted, trying to sound confident.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a creature pounced out of the bush towards her.

"Who are you?" growled a demanding voice.

"L-let me go! I didn't do anything!"

The creature let her go. Pearl took a closer look. A cat!

"Where am I?"

"You're in the forest. What are you doing out here anyways?"

"Well, I just wanted to see the forest, but I kinda got carried away..."

"It's not safe out here. Come with me."

Pearl followed the mysterious she-cat, till they arrived at a hollowed out tree trunk.

"It's the closest to a home I have. You'll have to cope. Here, have a mouse."

Pearl stared at the mouse. She had never tasted freshkill before. She took a bite.

"It's delicious! I've never tried it before!"

"Yes, I haven't either until a few days ago. I got lost in the forest like you did. Didn't take me a long time to figure out that it isn't safe out here fore a housecat. You'll have to be strong and aggressive, to scare off predators, you know."

"Oh..."

"PEARL! WAKE UP!"

Pearl snapped out of her sleep immediately.

"A fox just found us. RUN!"

Without a word, Pearl and the she-cat dashed out of the log and ran away. The fox pursued, seeming to never lose strength. It got closer and closer, then grabbed hold of the she cat. Pearl screamed.

"Get up that tree!" the she cat yelled.

Pearl did as she was told and bounded up the tree. She was amazed at how she actually knew how to climb a tree. She never had before, unless a Christmas tree counts. The she-cat tried her best at fighting off the fox, but it was no help. The fox cornered her against the tree. All hope seemed lost when a cat burst out of the bushes. He quickly battered away the fox, and it fled, never to be seen again.

Pearl stared at the tomcat.

"Thanks!"

"You're welcome. It's my job."

"What job?"

"I'm a warrior. My name's Bluemoon."

"Oh... I'm Pearl."

"And I'm Diamond." The other she cat said. "We're both lost."
Bluemoon promptly replied. "Maybe you could join our clan! Its wonderful. Come take a look!"

The three of them bounded off to camp.

New Ally - WoodClan!

OK, guys, we have a new ally, WoodClan, which means we will help them when they are in trouble and vice versa. ^^ Join them if you can!

Rainfall

Soon after the patrols were being organized, Moonstar leaped back onto the Great Boulder. "I have one more announcement to make!" she called, a gray tom standing behind her. "Today we welcome a new cat into our clan, Rainfall. He has understood what it means to be a warrior, and will serve in our clan as a proud member. Please welcome him!"

And as Wolfpaw chased Plumpaw around the clearing, the whole clan yowled and shouted, "Rainfall! Rainfall! Rainfall!", their voices reaching all the way to StarClan and beyond.

Another Day

Mooonstar stood atop the Great Boulder. "Cats of HawkClan!" she called. "Please gather at the Great Boulder for a clan meeting." When all the cats were gathered, she announced, "Our battle is now over, and our clan has to move on. Bluemoon, could you organize a hunting patrol, and Fernsplash, could you organize a patrol to go around the territory? That is all." With a flick of her tail, the leader leapt down the boulder to see what the two cats would do.

Notice to ALL People Who Have Joined

Hey, guys, I just want to make note of something. Some people are doing really great, and are really active, whereas some other cats...don't really come on...

First of all, I have a short message for Frostfeather, is that I DID add Willowkit, it's just that I didn't have time to make a post then. (If you want a post you can comment below and I'll make one immediately)

And a message to Ripplestep, Bluemoon, Poppy and Ferny, THANKS for being so active!!!!! I'm really grateful :)

To all of you inactive dudes (Danielle, stormy, Brightlegs, Fallenheart, Alado, Loststar, Waterstorm, Willowmoon, Kitten Party Craze, Warrior Clans, Pinestar/Charredstar [sort of]), PLEASE try to be more active! I know Brightlegs doesn't come onto blogger that much anymore, but the rest of you are active on some other blogs. I've already deleted Waterstorm, Tigerwhiser, Silverpaw, Hollypaw, Sparrowpaw and Kestrelpaw in the battle. If you want your cat to live, then BE ACTIVE.

A Strange Sign and Three Apprentices

Moonstar leaped onto the Great Boulder, her pelt matted with blood and scratches. "Cats of HawkClan!" she announced. "Today we have experienced a great tragedy. Our clan has fought, and if the terrible shaking of the earth had not occurred, we would have lost. Many lives have been lost, including those of:
Hollypaw
Sparrowpaw
Tigerwhisker
Waterstorm
Kestrelpaw
-and Silverpaw. We mourn their passings and hope that they have a good afterlife in DreamClan. But this battle has also brought us a sign. Something will happen that will shake this earth to its core. And we must be prepared.


"Aside from that, I have one more announcement. It is our duty as warriors to train warriors. And today I name three new apprentices. Plumkit, Wolfkit and Goldenkit, please step forward. This is a proud day for HawkClan, but also a sad day, but by naming apprentices we show that we will survive and remain strong. Plumkit, Wolfkit and Goldenkit, from now on until you receive your warrior name you will be known as Plumpaw, Wolfpaw and Goldenpaw.
Fernsplash, you are ready for an apprentice, you will be Wolfpaw's mentor. I know you will pass on your strength, wisdom and courage to Plumpaw, and teach him the skills that will make him a brave warrior of HawkClan."

Wolfpaw cheered as he rushed to the outside of the medicine cat's den to touch noses with his mentor, eyes sparkling like stars.

Moonstar continued. "I will mentor Goldenpaw myself, and I have a special announcement for Plumpaw. The cats of StarClan and DreamClan have wished it so, and Plumpaw will be Ripplestep's apprentice. Please pass onto Plumpaw your knowledge of herbs, and of our warrior ancestors."

Moonstar raised her voice. "That is all!" she yowled as the cats of the clan screeched, "Plumpaw! Wolfpaw! Goldenpaw!"

A Battle!

Starshine and Snowpaw were training in the clearing, when Snowpaw smelled something strange. "Starshine!" he whispered. "I smell something! Three things!" Starshine's head shot up immediately, widening her eyes as she realized the awful truth. They were surrounded by an array of dogs, foxes and badgers. "Run!"

The clan was doing their normal activity of sharing tongues and prey when the two cats raced into the camp. "Foxes!" Starshine screeched. "Dogs! And badgers!" Moonstar's eyes widened as her eyes picked up the scent of the three creatures. She quickly yowled to the clan, "Protect the clan with your lives! We're under an attack!"

Blackash raced to the nursery and stood guard in front of it. Starshine quickly rushed over to Rockmelt and the apprentices formed a group in front of the medicine cat's den. Fernsplash stood with Moonstar, Berylmist and Darkflame in the center of the camp. Then, suddenly, the valley was filled with badgers, foxes and dogs, and all of hell broke loose.

Bluemoon was battling a fox when he saw the worst horror of his life: Moonstar lying lifeless under of the paws of a fox and a dog. Scarlet stained the ground of the camp, glistening in the weak sunlight. "Moonstar!" Bluemoon cried as he saw a faint outline leave the leader, symbolizing that she had lost one of her lives. "No! Don't!" he yelled again as a brown figure streaked past him. Snowpaw had hurled himself at the creatures that had brought harm to their leader, but was easily batted away. He crunched against the hard rock of the warrior's den, then fell still. Bluemoon closed his eyes.

HawkClan is going to die.....

Action....

OK, HawkClan really needs some action in order for it to keep on going. Here are some ideas...

1. A battle (To boost relationships and medicine cat activity)
2. Another prophecy (Probably not though, because we've tried two prophecies and they both didn't work....we COULD ask ShadeClan if we could share a prophecy....)
3. A cat that wants to take apart the clan from within (Sounds fun! xD)

Pick one! If you want a prophecy, you gotta choose quickly, because ShadeClan looks like they're getting on with their prophecy pretty quickly.

Medicine Cat Gathering

Moonstar was standing on top of the Great Boulder when she saw Ripplestep padding out of her den. The clan leader walked up to the medicine cat. "Half moon? Time for the medicine cat gathering, right?"

Ripplestep dipped her head. "I'm heading there right now."

Moonstar nodded. "Have a safe trip," she said. "May StarClan be with you, and I pray that there is no ill situation coming to HawkClan."

As the young cat padded out of the camp, the other cats looked up. "Bye!" called Snowpaw, and the other warriors and apprentices bid their farewells as well. "Good-bye! Come back soon!"

Moonstar stood atop the Great Boulder and called, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting!" When all the cats were gathered, she looked down. "Today we have a new warrior joining us. Fernsplash, please step forward. I, Moonstar, leader of HawkClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this warrior. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Fernsplash, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of  your life?"


Fernsplash's gaze was as serious as Moonstar's. "I do," she said confidently.


"Then by the powers of StarClan I name you as a full warrior of HawkClan. StarClan honors your courage, strength and your loyalty and we welcome you as a full warrior of HawkClan."


Moonstar padded forwards, and as she rested her muzzle on the new warrior's head and Fernsplash licked her shoulder in return, the whole of the clan raised their voices and shouted to the whole of StarClan and DreamClan. "Fernsplash! Fernsplash! Fernsplash!"

Apprentice...

Moonstar stood atop the Great Boulder and looked down fondly at her clan. It has grown so much... "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Great Boulder for a clan meeting," she called. When everyone was gathered, she looked down. "Snowkit!" When the young cat padded forward, she continued. "This is a proud day for HawkClan, by naming apprentices we show that our clan will survive and remain strong. Snowkit, from now on until you receive your warrior name you will be known as Snowpaw. Starshine, you are ready for an apprentice, you will be Snowkit's mentor. I know you will pass on your strength, wisdom and power to Snowpaw, and teach him the skills that will make him a brave warrior of Hawkclan."


As Starshine stepped forward to touch noses with the small tom, Moonstar and all of the clan raised their voices. "Snowpaw! Snowpaw! Snowpaw!"

Attention!

OK, this is a pretty random post, but from now on, Rockmelt is a WARRIOR, not an elder. poppy and Pinestar, there can be a love triangle! ;)

Moonstar stood atop the high boulder. "Cats of HawkClan, today we have two new warriors joining our ranks." She paused and waited for all of the cats to gather. "I, Moonstar, leader of HawkClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these warriors. They understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turns. Snowfeather and Starshine, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of  your lives?"


"I do," said both cats solemnly.


"Then by the powers of StarClan I make you warriors of HawkClan. StarClan honors your courage, strength and loyalty, and we welcome you as full warriors of HawkClan."


Moonstar stepped forward and placed her muzzle on Snowfeather, then Starshine's head. When both of them licked her shoulder, she stood up straight and cheered with the rest of the clan. "Snowfeather! Starshine! Snowfeather! Starshine!"
