The Yard, a Warrior and an Apprentice

Aspentail was padding through the stone yard peacefully, when she heard the sound of claw scrapes on the boulder behind her. She quickly turned around and instinctively slid out her claws. A calm voice sounded in front of her. "Hey! I come in peace." Aspentail looked up and saw a black tom standing there. She narrowed her eyes. "What are you doing here?" she demanded, but after thinking a while, she said, "That doesn't matter," and lead him to the camp.

~In the Camp~

Moonstar stood atop the Great Boulder and looked down at her clan. Aspentail and Bluemoon were chatting. Snowkit was running around with the other kits, Brightlegs trying to calm them down. She looked over at the camp entrance. As soon as Darkflame's patrol came back, she lifted her head and raised her voice. "Cats of HawkClan! Please gather below the Great Boulder for a clan meeting." Seeing her whole clan together, she couldn't help but feel a sense of pride.

"Today we have yet another warrior joining our ranks. Please welcome–Blackash! He has already sworn his life and dedication to the clan." Moonstar paused and looked around. "And he will mentor Firkit."

Firkit, are you ready to serve your clan in any situation?"

Firkit's gaze was as clear as the sky. "Yes!" he exclaimed confidently.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I name you Firpaw, proud apprentice of Hawkclan and Blackash." Moonstar turned to Blackash. "Teach him all you know.

Blackash nodded solemnly and padded forward to touch Firpaw's nose with his own. Afterwards, he looked back up again. Moonstar nodded at the clan. "That is all!" She leaped down to the ground. Snowkit bounded forward. "Firpaw! Firpaw! Firpaw!" he squeaked.
