HI GUYS.

Sorry Moonstar and I haven't been posting in the last few months -.- School work. ugh. So, any suggestions as to what's going to happen next to HawkClan? ._. And we still need to find the kits. So just leave some comments below if you have any suggestions.

'Upgrades'

Due to many cats aging rapidly, I will now proceed to make a lot of kits apprentices and a lot of apprentices warriors. Two warriors (who are inactive) shall become elders. I do not take credit for writing this post; I got Ripplestep to, because I'm a lazy person. *w* Everyone, please say thanks to her!

It was just after twilight and every cat was sharing tongues. Moonstar was murmuring with Bluemoon and Ripplestep. After a while, she leaped onto the Great Boulder. Bluemoon and Ripplestep padded over and sat in the middle of the clearing. Moonstar then yowled, “Cats old enough to catch their prey please come under the Great Boulder for a Clan meeting!” Cats began to appear from dens and a border patrol just walked into the clearing. When every cat was in the clearing, Moonstar began to speak. “I have called all of you here today so we can witness a few things. First of all, Starshine and Lionfang will be the first residents of the elder’s den. They have decided to retire from their warrior duties and spend the rest of their lives knowing that the Clan will care for them.” As she paused, all of the cats cheered, “Starshine! Lionfang! Starshine! Lionfang!” Starshine and Lionfang dipped their heads in embarrassment and stared at the ground. Moonstar leaped off the Great Boulder and laid her tail on both of their shoulders. Then she ran back up the Great Boulder. After the cheering died down, Moonstar continued, “I also called all of you over for another reason. It is time to make some kits apprentices!” Every cat purred in delight and moved to the sides of the clearing to leave space for the soon to be apprentices. “Please come to the center of the clearing as I announce your name. Whitekit, Mistykit, Dawnkit, Nightkit, Poppykit and Sunkit. You are all old enough to begin your apprenticeship.” All six of the kits stepped forward into the empty space in the clearing.

Site Changes!

So I've made some changes to the layout of our clan, and I hope that you will fine it easier to navigate around and stuff. It looks pretty simple, but I'm hoping that it'll be easier to manage. I spent quite a bit of time on the header and the layout, because I kept on getting the sizes wrong in photoshop and HTML is a real pain to work with.

Anyways, here is the improved (Well, at least in my opinion) HawkClan~! I'll be making a new posts soon because there are a lot of kits who need to become apprentices and a lot of apprentices who need to become warriors. Gathering + New Cats

So we've fallen apart once again... It's really hard to stay committed because I despise writing (not commenting, just writing posts.) But I'll try as hard as I can~ Ginger, do you want to go find Thunderscar's kits already? We really need to get that sorted out...


Moonstar stood in the middle of the camp clearing, surrounded by cats. "Cats of HawkClan!" she called in order to get her clan members' attention. "I will now announce which cats will be coming to the gathering:
Ripplestep,
Blackash,
Aspentail,
Hawkfur,
Dreamdance,
Tigerstripe,
Hailstorm,
Goldenpaw,
Plumpaw, and
Willowpaw. Those cats who are going, please go get some rest, as we have a long night ahead of us. That is all."

And with those words, the clan leader padded back to her den.

This is...later in the day?


Moonstar leaped onto the Great Boulder, her eyes sparkling with pride for her clan. "Cats of HawkClan!" she yowled. "Today we have three new cats joining us! Willow, Diamond and Hazel, please step forward."
Slowly, three she-cats stepped forward as the whole clan watched.
"This is a proud day for HawkClan, by naming apprentices and warriors we show HawkClan will survive and remain strong. Diamond and Hazel, from now on until you receive your warrior names you will be known as Diamondpaw and Hazelpaw. Hawkfur and Tigerstripe, you are ready for an apprentices, Hawkfur will be Diamondpaw's apprentice and Tigerstripe will be Hazelpaw's. I know you two will pass on your strength, wisdom and bravery to these apprentices, and teach them the skills that will make them a brave warrior of HawkClan."

Moonstar then turned to the other cat. "I, Moonstar, leader of HawkClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this cat. She has promised hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Willow, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of  your life?"

"I do," the cat called Willow replied, eyes full of determination.

"Then by the powers of DreamClan I give you your warrior name, Willow, from this moment on you will be known as Willowbreeze. StarClan honors your skills as a warrior and we welcome you as a full warrior of HawkClan."

The gray leader stepped backwards, and let the rest of the clan cheer for the three new cats of HawkClan. "Diamondpaw! Hazelpaw! Willowbreeze! Diamondpaw! Hazelpaw! Willowbreeze!"

New Warrior + January Gathering

Moonstar leaped onto the top of the Great Boulder, looking down at her clan. "Cats of HawkClan!" she yowled. "I will now announce the names of the cats who will go to the gathering tonight. I will not take too many, as we are still in search of Thunderscar's kits. The cats who will go to the clan gathering tonight are:
Lionfang,
Ripplestep,
Tigerstripe,
Hailstorm,
Rockmelt,
Plumpaw and
Goldenpaw.
The rest of the clan, please continue to look for Thunderscar's kits. I will leave Bluemoon in charge. That is all. We will leave for the gathering as soon as the sun begins to set." Finishing her announcement, the leader of HawkClan leapt down onto the brown ground of the camp, and walked over to Thunderscar. "I hope you can find your kits soon," the she-cat said, glancing around the camp. "I'm sure they're turn up soon; kits are always running off like this."

After a few more moments, Moonstar leapt onto the Great Boulder once more. "Cats of HawkClan!" she called. "I have one more announcement. Today we have a new warrior joining our ranks. Hailstorm, would you please step forward?"
The white tom padded towards the clan leader, who continued with the ceremony.
"I, Moonstar, leader of HawkClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this cat. He has sworn to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn.  Hailstorm, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?"
Hailstorm's blue eyes sparkled with determination and seriousness. "I do," he said.
"Then by the powers of DreamClan, I make you a proud warrior of HawkClan. DreamClan honors your determination, bravery and your skills, and we welcome you into our clan."
As the ceremony ended, every single cat in the clan rose their voices and shouted to the sky. "Hailstorm! Hailstorm! Hailstorm!"

Moonstar and Bluemoon were padding through the forest on a hunting expedition when they heard the noise. It was faint at first, and gradually grew louder as they weaved in and out through the leafy undergrowth.
"Moonstar, do you hear that?" the blue cat asked his friend.
The leader of HawkClan nodded. "There are cats in trouble," she said. "We should look for them now."
Bluemoon raced forward, his ears twitching as they tried to detect as much sound as they could. "This way!" he called, dashing towards a clearing, the gray she-cat running just behind him.

When the two cats skidded to a stop on the green grass, their eyes widened. A darkly striped orange tom was battling a fox, while an orange and white she-cat was standing behind him, her eyes wide in terror. Next to her sat two kits, both frozen in shock. With a yowl, Bluemoon hurled himself at the fox, ripping up the fur and flesh on it's pointed face. Turning around, the creature fled into the trees. Moonstar walked up to the she-cat and two kits.
"Are you alright?" she asked, dark eyes scanning their pelts for any wounds.
The orange cat nodded. "I'm fine," she said, examining the two kits as well. "And they are too, though I think they're a little shaken up."
Moonstar nodded understandingly, and Bluemoon stepped forward. "Why don't you come to our camp to rest for a while?"

"..we want to join HawkClan." Dream's eyes were full of seriousness as she spoke to the leader of HawkClan.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas, cats, allies and friends of HawkClan. We wish to have a more active year as well, because this clan has unfortunately fallen apart due to inactiveness, lack of posting, and lack of a prophecy/plot to keep us all interested. Comment below if you have any New Year resolutions/suggestions for the clan!

Helping Our Allies

Let's get over the sickness thing since it was a big failure. Here is a new post!

Moonstar hurriedly padded out into the clearing of the camp, followed by a bleeding and wounded tom, eyes frantic as she leapt onto the Great Boulder. "Cats of HawkClan!" she called, not bothering to wait for the cats to gather. "This is urgent. We must help our ally, LighteningClan in fighting rouges that have attacked their camp. We'll send a two patrols of cats over to their camp to help. Bluemoon!" she called. The blue tom was standing in the middle of the clearing, eyes alert and ears perked. "Yes, Moonstar!" he yelled back. "I want you to organize a patrol of at least 5 warriors and 2 apprentices. I'll organize another one. Understand?" The deputy nodded, and quickly padded off to find warriors for the patrol."

Moonstar leaped off the Great Boulder and padded off to where Ripplestep was, supporting Badgersnarl on her way. "Ripplestep," she said. "Take care of Badgersnarl. He is too weak to go back and fight for his clan. There may be more injured cats, and the medicine cat of LighteningClan will need help. Understand?" The gray medicine cat nodded and directed Badgersnarl into the medicine cat's den, calling out for Plumpaw on her way.

Test Post, Please Read

So basically, this is a post to test how many people will actually be active on HawkClan. If there's more than three including me, I will continue this blog. But I don't see the point of just three people roleplaying, so if there are less than 2 people who comment here, HawkClan will probably die. So, if you are seeing this post and truly believe that you can be active, comment below, saying something like 'I can be active!' or something. This will also help me with deleting inactive cats and such. So, let's save the clan!

Gathering!

So I'm deciding to make the gatherings more role-playing like, so I'm writing them different than before. Hope you like it!

Moonstar gazed at her sick clan, eyes full of worry. Though she didn't really want to leave her clan, even if it was for a short time. Leaping onto the Great Boulder, she raised her head and spoke.
"Cats of HawkClan! I am aware that we are not in our healthiest state, but tonight is the gathering, and some of us have to go, to show the other clans that despite the sickness, we are still as strong as ever."
The leader of HawkClan's eyes swept across the camp, in search of cats that weren't sick
"Aspentail, Rockmelt, Goldenpaw, Snowheart, Firleaf, Lionfang, Willowpaw, Russetpaw and Bluepaw, I want all of you to come to the gathering tonight. That is all."

Quickly noticing Lionfang's worried eyes, Moonstar leapt off the giant rock and padded so that she stood next to the tom. "I know you probably don't want to leave Thunderscar," she said. "But there aren't that many healthy warriors right now, and I want you to get the experience of meeting other cats from other clans. Do you understand?"
Slowly, the new warrior nodded, eyes casting another glance at the entrance to the nursery. "I will go see her before I leave," he said, starting to stalk away, dipping his head in respect at the leader.

A few moments later, Lionfang came out, and Moonstar looked at the cats gathered at the exit of the camp. "HawkClan, let's leave!" Moonstar called, gazing at the clan and dashing out of the camp.

New Kits, a Queen and a Warrior

As Ripplestep, Aspentail, Blackash and Rockmelt padded through the forest in search of catmint and other herbs that would help fight the white cough that was sweeping through the camp, their ears twitched  as faint yowls echoed in the forest.
"Did you hear that?" Aspentail asked the rest of the group, turning around to see which direction the sound was coming from.
Ripplestep nodded. "I think there are rouges on our territory. We should help them, I don't like the sound of those yowls..."
"I think the sounds are coming from over there," Blackash said, his tal pointing in the direction of where the clearing in the forest was.
"I think so too," Rockmelt concurred, looking at the mass of trees that lead to the clearing. "Should we go check it out?"
"I think we should," the gray medicine cat replied. "Even if they're loners, we should help any cat that's in trouble. Isn't that on the warrior code?"
"Yeah, let's go," Aspentail said, already padding forward towards the clearing.

When the four cats reached the clearing, they saw a fully-grown tom, a queen and two kits.
"Are any of you hurt?" Ripplestep said, stepping forward to give each cat a sniff.
"No," replied the tom, eying the medicine cat. "But my mate is about to kit. We found these two on our way here."
Aspentail looked at the group of cats. "Well, we'll take you all to our camp," she said. "A sickness has been spreading, but we're collecting herbs to heal the sick cats right now. It's safe there, and if you want to, you can join our clan. You don't have to, you can just stay until your kits are big enough. But we'll take in these two," she said, looking sideways at the two kits.
The queen shook her head. "I don't think I can take being a rouge anymore. If it's OK with my mate, I'd like to join your 'clan'."
Blackash smiled. "That's great!"
The tom thought for a moment. "I'd do anything for my mate," he said. "We'll join you're clan."

What's Happening to Us?

HawkClan has never had an epidemic before. Let's try it out!

Ripplestep woke up to the sound of coughing. She quickly rushed outside of her den, though it was just past midnight, and she was very tired from gathering herbs during the day. Her eyes widened as she saw Bluemoon almost dragging himself out of the warrior's den, his body shaking with coughs. The gray medicine cat quickly rushed over to him, eyes filled with worry.
"Are you alright?" she asked, checking his sickened state.
"I-I'm fine," the deputy replied between coughs in a raspy voice.
"You're not OK!" Ripplestep exclaimed, guiding him to the medicine cat's den. "Quick, come to my den so that I can give you some herbs, hopefully you'll be OK before morning..."
But as dawn approached, the sounds of the blue cat's coughing only became louder, and Ripplestep prayed to StarClan silently in her nest. "Please don't let the rest of the clan get it...."

Yes, it was each clan's worst nightmare: white cough.

Of course, the spread of white cough was inevitable. The next morning, Ripplestep walked out of the medicine cat's den with Plumpaw, only to hear the sound of more coughing. "Plumpaw," she said, speaking to her apprentice. "Go round up the coughing cats. All we can do now is to give them herbs, and beg StarClan for their recovery. Now go, while I prepare the herbs!"

(Sorry for the late post [the gathering was up about two days ago], but I've had no motivation to write whatsoever, and I feel all blah. Anyways, here's my half-hearted post on the gathering for August, and I'll be sure to have all of my soul poured into the next one)

The Sun is Shining...

(Just because we haven't commented for real in a long time and I want the new post places to get some comments up. Comment away, my friends!)

Moonstar looked down at her clan from the Great Boulder, and with a sudden leap, jumped down to the ground to join them. "Cats of HawkClan!" she called. "I will now announce the patrols for this afternoon." Glancing around to make sure the majority of the clan was listening and present, she continued. "Bluemoon will lead one patrol around the forest, and Chillingheart will lead another in the direction of the Stone Yard. As for hunting, Starshine will lead one patrol and Snowheart will lead another. Is that clear?"

All of the cats nodded, and then dashed off to see who's patrol they would get sorted into. Moonstar padded away to Bluemoon. "Be safe," she whispered into his ear before padding off to the forest on an unknown expedition.

OK, that was really short, and was really more of a warm-up post to let people comment again. Patrol leaders, please pick who will be on patrols in the comments. And....

The Shady Mountains

These are the mountains that surround our territory, and are in the mountain range that we share with FalconClan and VolcanoClan. Many cats have climbed them, but fell to their deaths as they began their descend. Please, do not attempt to do the same.

The Stream

This is the small stream that runs through our territory. Though it isn't a big river, it has clean, cold and fresh water, enough for us to survive. Fish occasionally swim upstream and become our prey here. Apprentices should come with their mentors, and of course, kits should not come here at all.
